If you are self-employed or a member of a partnership and have been adversely affected by Coronavirus you will potentially qualify for a Self-Employment Income Support Scheme Grant.
You can make a claim for the grant at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-self-employment-income-support-scheme.
You will require the following details to make a claim:
- Self Assessment Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
- National Insurance number
- Government Gateway user ID and password
- Bank details
First Grant – NOW CLOSED
The first grant application was closed on 13 July 2020.
Second Grant – NOW CLOSED
The second grant application was closed on 19 October 2020.
Third Grant – Open from 30 November 2020
The grant will cover the three-month period from 1 November 2020 until 31 January 2021.
The self-employed will be required as part of the grant application to declare that they intend to continue to trade and either:
- are currently actively trading but are impacted by reduced demand due to coronavirus
- were previously trading but are temporarily unable to do so due to coronavirus
The grant will be to cover the three month’s worth of profit. The grant will be worth 80% (Increased from previous announcements of 20%, 40% and 55%) of your average monthly profits up to a total for the 3 month period capped at £7.500.
The grant will be paid in a lump sum for the 3 month period.
Fourth Grant – Due to open 1 February 2020
The grant will cover a three-month period from 1 February 2021 until 30 April 2021. The Government will review the level of the second grant and set this in due course.
