Autumn Statement

The date has been set for the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Autumn Statement.  The Chancellor; George Osborne will deliver his Autumn Statement on Wednesday 3 December 2014.

The statement gives the Government an opportunity to communicate it’s plans for the economy based on the latest forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility and is regarded as the second most significant economic event of the parliamentary year after the Budget.

This year’s Autumn Statement is an important event for the current Government with the General Election to come in just six months time.

The Treasury is seeking the public’s input into what should be included in the statement, any ideas should be submitted to the Treasury by 17 October for consideration in the policy-making process.
