The National Minimum Wage rates are set to increase next week, from Wednesday 1 October 2014.
The new rates will depend on age and whether you’re an apprentice.
They are as follows:
21+ year old workers – £6.50 (19p increase)
18 – 20 year old workers – £5.13 (10p increase)
16 – 17 year old workers – £3.79 (7p increase)
Apprentices aged 16 – 18 or 19 and over and in their first year – £2.73 (5p increase)
